FOOD & LIFE COMPANIES Rebounds as March Same-Store Sales Rise for 33rd Consecutive Month
FOOD & LIFE COMPANIES LTD. <3563> rebounded. The company announced its monthly sales results for March after trading closed on the 2nd, with same-store sales at domestic Sushiro rising 5.4% year-on-year, marking the 33rd consecutive month of exceeding prior-year results, which was well-received by the market.
Despite having one fewer Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday compared to the same month last year, the company benefited from warm spring break weather conducive to outings in late March following temperature fluctuations in the early to mid-month. Contributing factors included the rollout of products such as "Jumbo Toro Salmon" (from \110 including tax), "Live-Prepared Sakura Sea Bream" (from \150 including tax), "Bluefin Tuna Medium Fatty Tuna" (from \110 including tax), as well as "Large-Cut Squid" and "Big Shrimp" (each from \120 including tax). Additionally, the second installment of a character collaboration that proved popular when first implemented in November 2024, "Everyone at Sushiro! SUNSUN & Friends," held from March 3 to 29, was also successful. Total sales across all stores increased 7.9% year-on-year.
