TOKYO BASE falls for second day despite continued positive same-store sales
TOKYO BASE Co., Ltd. <3415> fell for the second consecutive day. After the close of trading on the 2nd, the company released its monthly sales update for March. Same-store sales for physical stores and e-commerce combined rose 5.2% year-on-year, continuing the positive trend. However, some observers noted that the growth rate appeared weak compared to the previous month's strong 27.3% increase, which appeared to trigger near-term selling.
On a company-wide basis, sales surged 23.0% year-on-year, showing strong performance. "CONZ" continues to experience significant growth, while "RITAN" and "JAPAN EDITION," which launched last year, are also expanding. Although Chinese customers continue to decline, inbound sales grew thanks to contributions from European, American, and Australian customers.
