FX Outlook: Focus on Iran Situation and U.S. Economic Indicators
The dollar-yen exchange rate in the foreign exchange market from tonight through tomorrow is expected to focus on the situation in Iran as well as U.S. economic indicators. The anticipated range is \158.00 to \159.10 per dollar.
U.S. President Trump was reported to have indicated his expectation to end the war with Iran within two to three weeks. It was also reported that Iranian President Pezeshkian stated he has "the will to end the war." While expectations for an end to the Iran war have risen, significant uncertainty remains regarding the outlook, and the dollar-yen exchange rate moved centered around the upper \158 level. Through tomorrow, attention will continue on the Iran situation, while tonight will see the release of important economic indicators including the U.S. March ISM Manufacturing Index, U.S. March ADP Employment Report, and U.S. February Retail Sales, which are also likely to draw interest.
