INPEX Falls for Second Day as WTI Briefly Drops to $100 in After-Hours Trading Amid Volatile Price Swings
INPEX CORPORATION <1605> fell for the second consecutive day. The stock price rose in the morning session but was later pushed down by selling pressure. The Wall Street Journal reported on the Middle East situation that "U.S. President Trump is prepared to end military operations against Iran even without the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz." Following this report, WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude oil futures, which had been trading at around $106 per barrel in after-hours trading during the Japanese morning hours, subsequently dropped to the $100 level. However, as of 1:00 p.m. Japan time, prices had recovered to near $103, with crude oil prices continuing to experience volatile movements.
