The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1059, lost was 461, and unchanged was 60. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 239.33 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 124.34 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 35.93 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 25.24 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 18.72 yen.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 99.47 yen. This was followed by OLYMPUS <7733> at 13.10 yen, Astellas Pharma <4503> at 12.45 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 12.03 yen, Mitsubishi <8058> at 10.73 yen.
By industry, 22 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Marine Transportation Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Real Estate Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
