The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 104.29 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 74.87 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 69.79 yen, Ajinomoto <2802> at 32.36 yen, SONY <6758> at 26.57 yen.
CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 51.84 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KONAMI <9766> was at 30.58 yen, KIKKOMAN <2801> was at 18.97 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> was at 15.71 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 12.53 yen.
By industry, 25 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Construction Sector, and Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector. Pulp & Paper Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Other Products Sector were among the top losers.
