On the 22nd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 914.25 yen (1.73%) higher from the previous day to 53,688.89 yen, rebound for the first time in sixth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1296, lost was 266, and unchanged was 34. The percentage of rising stocks exceeded 80%.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 361.00 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 288.80 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 129.36 yen, DISCO <6146> at 66.85 yen, Lasertec <6920> at 28.48 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 105.89 yen to The Nikkei. Below, AEON <8267> was at 12.99 yen, SONY <6758> was at 11.7 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 10.53 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> was at 10.53 yen.
By industry, 26 of the 33 industries gained. Glass & Ceramics Products Sector ranked first, followed by Information & Communication Sector, Metal Products Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector. Retail Trade Sector, Other Products Sector, and Insurance Sector were among the top losers.
