FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 109.1 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 44.12 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 34.29 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 32.89 yen, BayCurrent Inc <6532> was at 19.32 yen.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 82.90 yen. This was followed by IBIDEN <4062> at 23.60 yen, TDK <6762> at 22.06 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 13.70 yen, SCREEN Holdings <7735> at 13.24 yen.
By industry, 15 of the 33 industries gained. Glass & Ceramics Products Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, and Rubber Products Sector. Marine Transportation Sector, Mining Sector, and Pharmaceuticals Sector were among the top losers.
