Nikkei 225 close on the 15th = falling, 668 yen lower to 50,168 yen
On the 15th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 668.44 yen (-1.31%) lower from the previous weekend to 50,168.11 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1218, lost was 343, and unchanged was 43. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 356.99 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 213.59 yen, TDK <6762> was at 48.13 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 40.11 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 36.1 yen.
The top positive contributor was Recruit Holdings <6098>, pushing up The Nikkei by 30.89 yen. This was followed by Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 23.90 yen, AEON <8267> at 16.35 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 15.04 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 13.94 yen.
By industry, 25 of the 33 industries gained. Land Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Transportation Equipment Sector, and Services Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
