The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 567, lost was 968, and unchanged was 69. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 43.12 yen. This was followed by FANUC <6954> at 42.95 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 29.08 yen, Lasertec <6920> at 15.38 yen, DISCO <6146> at 14.77 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 38.51 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TDK <6762> was at 32.09 yen, Nintendo <7974> was at 14.04 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 10.86 yen, Trend Micro <4704> was at 9.73 yen.
By industry, 14 of the 33 industries gained. Rubber Products Sector ranked first, followed by Marine Transportation Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Machinery Sector. Other Products Sector, Real Estate Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector were among the top losers.
