The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 80.22 yen. This was followed by FANUC <6954> at 54.82 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 29.41 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 11.70 yen, HOYA <7741> at 9.86 yen.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 173.48 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 33.09 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 16.65 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 10.43 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> was at 8.82 yen.
By industry, 16 of the 33 industries gained. Banks Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Other Financial Business Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector. Mining Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Information & Communication Sector were among the top losers.
