On the 18th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 1,620.93 yen (-3.22%) lower from the previous day to 48,702.98 yen, falling for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 195, lost was 1381, and unchanged was 33. The percentage of declining stocks exceeded 80%.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 304.84 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 197.88 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 182.5 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 65.68 yen, TDK <6762> was at 45.12 yen.
The top positive contributor was DENTSU <4324>, pushing up The Nikkei by 2.87 yen. This was followed by Shionogi <4507> at 2.11 yen, Kao <4452> at 2.04 yen, NH Foods <2282> at 1.80 yen, KDDI <9433> at 1.40 yen.
By industry, all 33 industries were losers. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked as a top loser, followed by Electric Appliances Sector, Machinery Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, Banks Sector, and Securities & Commodities Futures Sector.
