On the 6th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 671.41 yen (1.34%) higher from the previous day to 50,883.68 yen, rebound for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 982, lost was 570, and unchanged was 59. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 172.48 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 132.37 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 63.84 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 46.63 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 36.10 yen.
BANDAI NAMCO <7832> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 35.7 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FUJIFILM <4901> was at 12.84 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 12.03 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 9.53 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 9.36 yen.
By industry, 26 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Machinery Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector. Marine Transportation Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Rubber Products Sector were among the top losers.
