The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 419, lost was 1143, and unchanged was 49. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 505.39 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 346.29 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 142.39 yen, TDK <6762> was at 41.11 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 36.6 yen.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 88.24 yen. This was followed by Nintendo <7974> at 26.91 yen, NH Foods <2282> at 12.43 yen, MITSUI & CO <8031> at 11.83 yen, ITOCHU <8001> at 10.63 yen.
By industry, 11 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Wholesale Trade Sector, Construction Sector, and Land Transportation Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Information & Communication Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
