The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1126, lost was 430, and unchanged was 56. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was Lasertec <6920>, pushing up The Nikkei by 67.34 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 50.51 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 40.40 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 23.40 yen, NEC <6701> at 11.30 yen.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 205.05 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 78.39 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 31.18 yen, SONY <6758> was at 13.97 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> was at 11.11 yen.
By industry, 27 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Mining Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Banks Sector. Land Transportation Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Information & Communication Sector were among the top losers.
