On the 28th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 293.14 yen (-0.58%) lower from the previous day to 50,219.18 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 88, lost was 1507, and unchanged was 16. It was a completely discounted deal with more than 90% of stocks falling in price.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 54.14 yen to The Nikkei. Below, NIDEC <6594> was at 26.94 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> was at 25.93 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 23.06 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 20.2 yen.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 165.66 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 83.84 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 10.71 yen, Furukawa Electric <5801> at 2.10 yen, DeNA <2432> at 1.76 yen.
By industry, 32 of the 33 industries lost, with only one industry gained, Information & Communication Sector. Metal Products Sector ranked as a top loser, followed by Textiles & Apparels Sector, Construction Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, Pulp & Paper Sector, and Mining Sector.
