The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 380.81 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 119.19 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 33.67 yen, TDK <6762> at 26.01 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 21.55 yen.
BayCurrent Inc <6532> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 23.87 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 22.63 yen, Nintendo <7974> was at 12.29 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 9.19 yen, MITSUI & CO <8031> was at 6.06 yen.
By industry, 22 of the 33 industries gained. Information & Communication Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector. Other Products Sector, Insurance Sector, and Services Sector were among the top losers.
