Nikkei 225 close on the 1st = falling for the 4 days in a row, 381 yen lower to 44,550 yen
On the 1st, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 381.78 yen (-0.85%) lower from the previous day to 44,550.85 yen, falling for the forth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 123, lost was 1478, and unchanged was 11. It was a completely discounted deal with more than 90% of stocks falling in price.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 89.9 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 55.56 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 18.01 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 16.57 yen, TDK <6762> was at 14.65 yen.
The top positive contributor was CHUGAI PHARMA <4519>, pushing up The Nikkei by 25.15 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 20.20 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 15.99 yen, Otsuka <4578> at 13.80 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 11.45 yen.
By industry, 31 of the 33 industries lost, with only two industries, Pharmaceuticals Sector and Other Products Sector, gained. Banks Sector ranked as a top loser, followed by Real Estate Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Other Financial Business Sector, Insurance Sector, and Machinery Sector.
