On the 25th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 124.62 yen (0.27%) higher from the previous day to 45,754.93 yen, rising for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1031, lost was 509, and unchanged was 74. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 117.50 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 47.10 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 25.73 yen, SONY <6758> at 23.30 yen, DISCO <6146> at 9.72 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 101.29 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 24.31 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 17.42 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 14.99 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 10.13 yen.
By industry, 25 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Oil & Coal Products Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Services Sector. Precision Instruments Sector, Other Products Sector, and Iron & Steel Sector were among the top losers.
