The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 223.86 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 112.10 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 24.48 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 21.78 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 13.17 yen.
DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 13.51 yen to The Nikkei. Below, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 12.56 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 8.91 yen, DENSO <6902> was at 8.51 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 8.2 yen.
By industry, 17 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Information & Communication Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector. Pharmaceuticals Sector, Transportation Equipment Sector, and Textiles & Apparels Sector were among the top losers.
