Nikkei 225 close on the 9th = falling for the first time in 4 days, 184 yen lower to 43,459 yen
On the 9th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 184.52 yen (-0.42%) lower from the previous day to 43,459.29 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 615, lost was 951, and unchanged was 50. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 139.79 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 63.21 yen, TDK <6762> was at 43.56 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 21.95 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 11.75 yen.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 207.99 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 42.54 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 6.28 yen, SONY <6758> at 5.57 yen, SUZUKI MOTOR <7269> at 5.00 yen.
By industry, 8 of the 33 industries gained. Pulp & Paper Sector ranked first, followed by Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, Real Estate Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Mining Sector were among the top losers.
