On the 8th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 625.06 yen (1.45%) higher from the previous weekend to 43,643.81 yen, rising for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1256, lost was 287, and unchanged was 73. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 135.06 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 65.84 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 55.91 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 36.47 yen, TDK <6762> at 24.31 yen.
KDDI <9433> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 3.85 yen to The Nikkei. Below, DISCO <6146> was at 3.51 yen, KEYENCE <6861> was at 2.7 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> was at 2.57 yen, SMC <6273> was at 1.86 yen.
By industry, all 33 industries were gainers. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Real Estate Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, Machinery Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector.
