Nikkei 225 close on the 2nd = rebound for the first time in 3 days, 121 yen higher to 42,310 yen
On the 2nd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 121.70 yen (0.29%) higher from the previous day to 42,310.49 yen, rebound for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1011, lost was 554, and unchanged was 50. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 18.64 yen. This was followed by Mitsubishi <8058> at 10.13 yen, MITSUI & CO <8031> at 9.25 yen, ITOCHU <8001> at 9.02 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 7.39 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 22.96 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 14.18 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 7.77 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 5.91 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> was at 5.47 yen.
By industry, 29 of the 33 industries gained, with only 3 industries, Machinery Sector, Other Products Sector, and Services Sector, lost. Wholesale Trade Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Marine Transportation Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector.
