The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 100.28 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 44.57 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 42.04 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 21.78 yen, TDK <6762> at 10.89 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 19.45 yen to The Nikkei. Below, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 9.79 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 7.77 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 6.75 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> was at 5.54 yen.
By industry, 29 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Insurance Sector. Retail Trade Sector, Textiles & Apparels Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector were among the top losers.
