On the 25th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 174.53 yen (0.41%) higher from the previous weekend to 42,807.82 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 778, lost was 775, and unchanged was 64.

The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 106.36 yen. This was followed by Recruit Holdings <6098> at 41.63 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 31.06 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 23.97 yen, FANUC <6954> at 18.57 yen.

KONAMI <9766> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 30.05 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TERUMO <4543> was at 29.85 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 24.72 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> was at 19.14 yen, TDK <6762> was at 12.66 yen.

By industry, 15 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Wholesale Trade Sector, Machinery Sector, and Services Sector. Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Air Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
