SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 60.78 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 51.15 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 29.07 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 13.67 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 12.16 yen.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 48.62 yen. This was followed by KONAMI <9766> at 8.61 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 3.88 yen, KDDI <9433> at 3.44 yen, ASAHI KASEI <3407> at 2.63 yen.
By industry, 10 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Iron & Steel Sector, Mining Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector. Pharmaceuticals Sector, Transportation Equipment Sector, and Construction Sector were among the top losers.
