Nikkei 225 close on the 5th = rebound for the first time in 3 days, 258 yen higher to 40,549 yen
On the 5th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 258.84 yen (0.64%) higher from the previous day to 40,549.54 yen, rebound for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1152, lost was 411, and unchanged was 57. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 62.80 yen. This was followed by KDDI <9433> at 29.58 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 18.40 yen, TDK <6762> at 16.46 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 14.18 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 29.17 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 9.12 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> was at 8.54 yen, Nitori <9843> was at 8.19 yen, Ajinomoto <2802> was at 6.89 yen.
By industry, 30 of the 33 industries gained, with only 3 industries, Marine Transportation Sector, Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, and Retail Trade Sector, lost. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Machinery Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector.
