On the 29th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 323.72 yen (-0.79%) lower from the previous day to 40,674.55 yen, falling for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 583, lost was 970, and unchanged was 69. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 33.43 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 33.43 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 29.71 yen, TDK <6762> was at 22.79 yen, Lasertec <6920> was at 18.17 yen.
The top positive contributor was Recruit Holdings <6098>, pushing up The Nikkei by 20.26 yen. This was followed by Nomura Research Institute <4307> at 15.26 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> at 10.26 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 8.10 yen, Otsuka <4578> at 7.19 yen.
By industry, 7 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Oil & Coal Products Sector, Services Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector. Transportation Equipment Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Machinery Sector were among the top losers.
