ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 140.46 yen to The Nikkei. Below, DISCO <6146> was at 27.89 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 17.02 yen, SONY <6758> was at 11.48 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 7.7 yen.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 108.39 yen. This was followed by CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 8.51 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 8.10 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 7.60 yen, TDK <6762> at 7.60 yen.
By industry, 11 of the 33 industries gained. Information & Communication Sector ranked first, followed by Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Food Products Sector. Real Estate Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector were among the top losers.
