On the 7th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 223.20 yen (-0.56%) lower from the previous weekend to 39,587.68 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 595, lost was 967, and unchanged was 62. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 23.3 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FANUC <6954> was at 22.45 yen, TDK <6762> was at 16.71 yen, SMC <6273> was at 12.32 yen, YASKAWA Electric <6506> was at 10.96 yen.

The top positive contributor was Recruit Holdings <6098>, pushing up The Nikkei by 19.25 yen. This was followed by DISCO <6146> at 9.79 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> at 9.35 yen, BayCurrent Inc <6532> at 4.44 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 2.70 yen.

By industry, 8 of the 33 industries gained. Services Sector ranked first, followed by Retail Trade Sector, Land Transportation Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector. Banks Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Iron & Steel Sector were among the top losers.
