On the 3rd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 23.42 yen (0.06%) higher from the previous day to 39,785.90 yen, rebound for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 826, lost was 733, and unchanged was 65.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 46.40 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 27.94 yen, TDK <6762> at 13.47 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 7.98 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 7.65 yen.
KONAMI <9766> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 30.1 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 14.97 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 13.97 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 13.57 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> was at 11.08 yen.
By industry, 20 of the 33 industries gained. Iron & Steel Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Transportation Equipment Sector, and Mining Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, and Construction Sector were among the top losers.
