On the 11th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 209.68 yen (0.55%) higher from the previous day to 38,421.19 yen, rising for the forth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1138, lost was 424, and unchanged was 64. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 113.76 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 34.13 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 22.75 yen, TDK <6762> at 18.96 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 12.97 yen.
KONAMI <9766> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 19.13 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nintendo <7974> was at 14.64 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 12.77 yen, SONY <6758> was at 8.81 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> was at 8.68 yen.
By industry, 19 of the 33 industries gained. Pulp & Paper Sector ranked first, followed by Metal Products Sector, Services Sector, and Chemicals Sector. Other Products Sector, Insurance Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector were among the top losers.
