On the 10th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 122.94 yen (0.32%) higher from the previous day to 38,211.51 yen, rising for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 671, lost was 875, and unchanged was 81.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 35.72 yen. This was followed by KONAMI <9766> at 11.64 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 10.31 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 9.48 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 8.65 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 27.14 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 11.48 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 10.68 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 6.35 yen, SONY <6758> was at 5.49 yen.
By industry, 19 of the 33 industries gained. Marine Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Precision Instruments Sector, Mining Sector, and Pharmaceuticals Sector. Insurance Sector, Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, and Banks Sector were among the top losers.
