The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 937, lost was 630, and unchanged was 60. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 114.75 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 73.44 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 60.67 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 29.84 yen, SONY <6758> was at 26.61 yen.
The top positive contributor was Otsuka <4578>, pushing up The Nikkei by 15.60 yen. This was followed by BANDAI NAMCO <7832> at 7.08 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 5.74 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> at 4.49 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 4.49 yen.
By industry, 19 of the 33 industries gained. Pharmaceuticals Sector ranked first, followed by Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector. Other Products Sector, Electric Appliances Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector were among the top losers.
