On the 27th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 192.58 yen (0.51%) higher from the previous day to 37,724.11 yen, rising for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1113, lost was 436, and unchanged was 79. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 33.93 yen. This was followed by TDK <6762> at 23.70 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 15.87 yen, SONY <6758> at 11.48 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 10.64 yen.
Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 15.97 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KDDI <9433> was at 4.19 yen, SECOM <9735> was at 3.59 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 2.79 yen, HOYA <7741> was at 2.41 yen.
By industry, 25 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Insurance Sector, and Machinery Sector. Construction Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Land Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
