On the 23rd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 174.60 yen (0.47%) higher from the previous day to 37,160.47 yen, rebound for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1117, lost was 449, and unchanged was 63. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 32.73 yen. This was followed by Nintendo <7974> at 19.96 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 17.46 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> at 11.97 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 9.61 yen.
Recruit Holdings <6098> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 5.59 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SMC <6273> was at 3.86 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 3.73 yen, KYOCERA <6971> was at 3.73 yen, ZOZO <3092> was at 3.39 yen.
By industry, 26 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Machinery Sector, and Insurance Sector. Mining Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector were among the top losers.
