ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 70.52 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 66.26 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 21.35 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 19.66 yen, SONY <6758> was at 17.63 yen.
The top positive contributor was FANUC <6954>, pushing up The Nikkei by 6.99 yen. This was followed by DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 5.89 yen, MITSUI & CO <8031> at 5.52 yen, Eisai <4523> at 3.86 yen, Shionogi <4507> at 3.84 yen.
By industry, 20 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Oil & Coal Products Sector, Pulp & Paper Sector, and Wholesale Trade Sector. Insurance Sector, Other Products Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
