The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1107, lost was 486, and unchanged was 39. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 96.59 yen. This was followed by Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 44.40 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 16.05 yen, NTT DATA <9613> at 12.81 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> at 10.11 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 77.17 yen to The Nikkei. Below, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 25.55 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> was at 25.45 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 10.58 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 8.68 yen.
By industry, 27 of the 33 industries gained. Transportation Equipment Sector ranked first, followed by Construction Sector, Banks Sector, and Retail Trade Sector. Textiles & Apparels Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
