The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1346, lost was 242, and unchanged was 44. The percentage of rising stocks exceeded 80%.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 46.90 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 44.70 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 44.44 yen, SONY <6758> at 31.60 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 28.74 yen.
CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 11.87 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nitori <9843> was at 7.57 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 4.66 yen, M3 Inc <2413> was at 1.48 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> was at 1.13 yen.
By industry, 32 of the 33 industries gained, with only one industry, Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, lost. Transportation Equipment Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Rubber Products Sector, Insurance Sector, Electric Appliances Sector, Precision Instruments Sector, and Banks Sector.
