The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 73.71 yen. This was followed by CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 31.53 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 30.53 yen, TDK <6762> at 28.94 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 26.44 yen.
Recruit Holdings <6098> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 11.58 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 9.58 yen, AEON <8267> was at 5.49 yen, Trend Micro <4704> was at 5.29 yen, NTT DATA <9613> was at 4.57 yen.
By industry, 29 of the 33 industries gained. Pharmaceuticals Sector ranked first, followed by Other Products Sector, Chemicals Sector, and Food Products Sector. Marine Transportation Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Transportation Equipment Sector were among the top losers.
