DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 14.8 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 12.43 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 12.33 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 12 yen, KYOCERA <6971> was at 10.26 yen.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 72.87 yen. This was followed by DISCO <6146> at 11.18 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 6.49 yen, Sumitomo Realty & Development <8830> at 5.72 yen, Tokio Marine <8766> at 5.67 yen.
By industry, 22 of the 33 industries gained. Oil & Coal Products Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Insurance Sector, and Marine Transportation Sector. Transportation Equipment Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector were among the top losers.
