On the 7th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 817.76 yen (-2.17%) lower from the previous day to 36,887.17 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 456, lost was 1132, and unchanged was 47. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 154.48 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 65.6 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 47.35 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 45.97 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 42.75 yen.
The top positive contributor was Nissan Chemical <4021>, pushing up The Nikkei by 4.01 yen. This was followed by Lasertec <6920> at 2.50 yen, BRIDGESTONE <5108> at 2.37 yen, TOKAI CARBON <5301> at 1.96 yen, NIKON <7731> at 1.96 yen.
By industry, 8 of the 33 industries gained. Rubber Products Sector ranked first, followed by Iron & Steel Sector, Mining Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector. Other Products Sector, Electric Appliances Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector were among the top losers.
