The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 261, lost was 1342, and unchanged was 38. The percentage of declining stocks exceeded 80%.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 251.48 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 99.14 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 87 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 48.14 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 32.06 yen.
The top positive contributor was KDDI <9433>, pushing up The Nikkei by 12.43 yen. This was followed by CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 6.21 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> at 5.43 yen, KYOCERA <6971> at 5.00 yen, FANUC <6954> at 4.44 yen.
By industry, 7 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Insurance Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Rubber Products Sector. Electric Appliances Sector, Machinery Sector, and Glass & Ceramics Products Sector were among the top losers.
