Nikkei 225 close on the 30th = falling for the first time in 4 days, 386 yen lower to 39,894 yen
On the 30th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 386.62 yen (-0.96%) lower from the previous weekend to 39,894.54 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 638, lost was 952, and unchanged was 50. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 77.24 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 65.5 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 31.57 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 19.24 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 13.61 yen.
The top positive contributor was FANUC <6954>, pushing up The Nikkei by 2.14 yen. This was followed by NEXON <3659> at 1.74 yen, Kawasaki Kisen <9107> at 1.49 yen, 7&i <3382> at 1.28 yen, DENSO <6902> at 1.25 yen.
By industry, 6 of the 33 industries gained. Marine Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Iron & Steel Sector, Mining Sector, and Rubber Products Sector. Services Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
