On the 23rd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 459.44 yen (1.19%) higher from the previous weekend to 39,161.34 yen, rebound for the first time in seventh days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1179, lost was 405, and unchanged was 56. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 102.85 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 36.40 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 36.01 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 34.72 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 30.09 yen.
BANDAI NAMCO <7832> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 5.23 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Astellas Pharma <4503> was at 3.86 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 1.97 yen, Eisai <4523> was at 1.41 yen, DENTSU <4324> was at 1.25 yen.
By industry, 30 of the 33 industries gained, with only 3 industries, Marine Transportation Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Iron & Steel Sector, lost. Electric Power & Gas Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Transportation Equipment Sector, Services Sector, Wholesale Trade Sector, Banks Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector.
