People Co, First Half's Undisclosed Ordinary Loss to Narrow, Previously Undecided First Half Dividend Continues No Dividend Policy

Earnings ReportPeople Co., Ltd. <7865> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on June 1st (16:00). The ordinary loss (non-consolidated) for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending January 2027 (February to April) was a reduced loss of 57 million yen (compared to a loss of 83 million yen in the same period last year).
In addition, the previously undisclosed forecast for the first half (February to July) shows that ordinary loss further decrease to loss of 120 million yen (compared to a loss of 177 million yen in the same period last year).
At the same time, the company has decided to forego the previously undecided the dividend for the first half for this fiscal year, and the Dividend for the second half remains undecided.
In the most recent three-month period, from February to April (1Q), the operating profit/loss margin drastically improved from -28.4% in the same period last year to -21.3%.
