MEC COMPANY, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 18%, Raises Record High Profit Forecast, Dividend Revised Upward by 14 Yen

Earnings ReportMEC COMPANY LTD. <4971> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on May 12th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026 (January to March) surged 2.0 times that of the same period last year, reaching 2.14 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 17.6%, from the previous forecast of 6.55 billion yen to 7.70 billion yen (compared to 6.05 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 8.2% to 27.3%, further surpassing the previous forecast of record-high profits for three consecutive terms.
At the same time, the January to June period (first half) consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 33.9%, from the previous forecast of 3.02 billion yen to 4.05 billion yen (compared to 2.49 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), increasing the growth rate from 21.3% to 62.5%. The company has further increased its previous forecast of record profits for the first time in two years.
In light of the strong performance, the dividend for the first half of this fiscal year has been significantly increased from the original plan of 40 yen to 55 yen, and the dividend for the second half has been revised the original plan of 56 yen to 55 yen. The annual dividend has been revised upwards from the original plan of 96 yen to 110 yen (compared to 96 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (1Q), the operating profit margin jumped from 24.7% in the same period last year to 33.9%.
