SHINPO, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Downward to an Unexpected 33% Decrease, Postponed Dividend for This Fiscal Year

Earnings ReportSHINPO CO.,LTD. <5903> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on April 28th (16:45). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending June 2026 (July 2025 to March 2026) decreased 29.1% from the same period last year to 563 million yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has decreased 33.3%, from the previous forecast of 988 million yen to 659 million yen (compared to 987 million yen in the previous period). This changes the outlook from an anticipated profit increase to a projection of a 33.2% decrease in profit.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the downward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the January to June period (second half) has decreased 54.9%, from the previous forecast of 599 million yen to 270 million yen (compared to 358 million yen in the same period of the previous year). This changes the outlook from an anticipated profit increase to a projection of a 24.6% decrease in profit.
At the same time, In conjunction with a Tender Offer Bid (TOB), the company has decided to forgo the year-end lump-sum dividend of 42 yen for the current fiscal year.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit grew 5.5% from the same period last year, reaching 174 million yen. The operating profit margin rose from 10.3% in the same period last year to 10.4%.
