Hitachi, 6% Increase in Net Income, Update Record High for Second Consecutive Term

Earnings ReportHitachi, Ltd. <6501> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) after the market closed on April 27th (15:30). The consolidated net income for the fiscal year ended March 2026 expanded to 30.3% from the previous period to 802 billion yen. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the consolidated net income is expected to grow by 5.9% to 850 billion yen, marking the second consecutive term of record-high profits. This will be the third consecutive term of revenue and profit growth.
At the same time, the company decided to implement a year-end dividend of 27 yen for the previous term, which had been previously undecided (making the annual dividend 50 yen), and has left the annual dividend for the current term undetermined.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated net income decreased to 163 billion yen, an 11.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. However, the operating profit margin rose from 11.4% in the same period last year to 12.1%.
