Earnings ReportHIKARI TSUSHIN,INC. <9435> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the afternoon session on February 12th (15:00). The consolidated net income for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) increased 9.6% from the same period last year, reaching 112 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated net income has been revised upward 4.3%, from the previous forecast of 115 billion yen to 120 billion yen (compared to 117 billion yen in the previous period), turning to a 2.1% increase in the consolidated net income outlook.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated net income for the October to March period (second half) has been revised upward 11.2%, from the previous forecast of 44.6 billion yen to 49.6 billion yen (compared to 69.3 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 35.6% to 28.3%.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 736 yen to 746 yen (compared to 661 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated net income decreased to 42.3 billion yen, a 22.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. However, the operating profit margin rose from 16.9% in the same period last year to 17.1%.
